X 10/9/09 Inspired by Obama’s award for Nobel Peace Prize I wrote an article about Obama using the same process I use to set and achieve my Five Rites Academy Award Winning movie goal. Then I wrote the Oslo committee to schedule to present a five minute peace focusing exercise during the Nobel Peace Prize Concert on December 11, 2009.

X 9/26/09 After scrapping most of what I wrote with Judy Kellem’s script coaching and going back to the story arcs for the last month to turn my drama into a comedy, I had the depressing realization that the Academy doesn’t give comedy’s Oscars very often. Shakespeare In Love (1998) and then Annie Hall (1977). Hum unless… Five Rites (2011). Don’t try and do the math.

X I put the project aside for a couple years and didn’t commit to getting the script completed until the night I watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons.

X August 2005 Katrina magnified the “forgotten ones” on the national news and I sat dumb founded on the couch for awhile watching the news in New Orleans.

X 5/30/05 I entered Susco’s Mentor Writing competition in Buck’s County’s Writer’s Room. (I didn’t get picked to be the horror writer’s mentee) I wrote about how a group of forgotten ones, i.e. druggies, elderly, homeless, poor were rounded up by a couple of good samaritians with the purpose of creating the next wave of superhero’s after rehabilitating theough the five rites yoga.

X 1999 I heard mouth watering Cajun, New Orleans recipes on Jim Colman’s radio show “A Chief’s Table” and knew Sophie was from New Orleans.

X 1999 A Shiatsu massage collegue loaned me Pter Kelder’s Ancient Secrets of the Fountain of Youth and within a month of doing the exercises the character Sophie Peterson began sharing her story in my yoga journal.
